Burgers and lemon lime bitters in St. Kilda. Beach huts and bay views in Brighton. Walks and tea in Fitzroy Gardens. Chilling in Toorak. Thrifting in Brunswick. Afghani food in Carlton. Lars is in from Los Angeles. Fly to Cairns. Beach walk. Muddy water and windy weather. Sleepy beach town of Palm Cove. Hour boat ride. Diving on Great Barrier Reef. Scraped knee. Massive squall, rain like hail, slightly nervous but it was fine. Uber to airport wouldn’t follow directions, totally missed flight. Finally got to Sydney. Apartment in Bondi. Ferry rides. House spotting in Watsons Bay. Best sunset of my life in ‘that’ park. Opera House lived up to its rep. Lost Lars. Bars in Bondi. Massive fruit bats and long walks with groceries. Bus along the cliffs. Fly back to Melbourne. Chinatown and crazy Chinese restaurant with all of the live crabs and fish. Some questionable orders. Great trip.
